The ongoing fighting between opposition forces and Syrian troops near Turkish border raised the tension between two countries when mortar barrage landed in the downtown of Akçakale district on Friday, damaging homes and workplaces in the city.
Sources said armored vehicles, tanks and reinforcement units will be deployed a military outpost, in a zero point of Syrian border.
Turkey has issued a diplomatic note to Syria after a mortar strike from inside Syria hit its territory on Friday.
"We delivered a diplomatic note to the Syrian side," Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu told reporters in New York.
Davutoğlu signaled it would take action if there was a repeat of the mortar strike on its territory.
"I would like the public to know that if such breaches towards our borders continue we are reserving our rights and we are exercising our rights," Davutoğlu said overnight on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, without going into greater detail.
