6 August 2012 /ZIYA İPEK
A young man fishing in the Seyhan River in the southern province of Adana drowned late on Sunday after falling into the water while trying to untangle debris from his fishing line.

According to eyewitness accounts, Savaş Uslu and a friend, identified as Engin G., were fishing on a bridge over the Seyhan River when their fishing lines became tangled with plant matter. Attempting to clear the lines, Uslu lost his balance and fell into the water. Engin G. fled the scene of the incident. Witnesses were unable to help the drowning man, who was swept away by currents.
