Speaking at the event, Bağcılar Mayor Lokman Çağırıcı said the dinner aimed to build a bridge of love between the people of the two states, who share the same feelings and beliefs, and expressed his happiness over sharing the same iftar table with the Kyrgyz people.
Kıyıklık added in his address to the Kyrgyz guests: “Here I feel at home. You are our brothers. We are living in Anatolia and you are living in Kyrgyzstan.”
The Bağcılar Municipality, which hosts Ramadan activities in the district of Bağcılar every year, has also hosted iftar dinners in Kyrgyzstan in previous years.
