Karaindrou to perform at İstanbul jazz fest

Eleni Karaindrou, the well-known Greek composer famous for her collaborations with veteran film director Theo Angelopoulos, is set to take to the stage in İstanbul as part of the 22nd Akbank Jazz Festival, scheduled for Oct. 3-21.

Karaindrou will pay tribute to Angelopoulos, who died on Jan. 24 this year, and perform music from his movies, including “Ulysses’ Gaze” and “The Weeping Meadow.” The Greek artist will be accompanied by an orchestra under the baton of Ender Sakpınar.
