A total of 4,086 students have graduated from schools established by Turkey's leading fixed line operator, Türk Telekom, this year.
As part of a large social responsibility project in cooperation with the government, Türk Telekom has built 76 schools in a number of provinces so far. Some 30,000 students attended these schools this year. In the cause-related marketing category of Galaxy Awards 2011, Türk Telekom received the gold medal for its Türk Telekom Schools launch. The same project was rewarded with a major award in the Best Business Development Program and the Best Public Relations Product/Process/Service categories by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) in 2008.
