Kofi Annan due in Damascus to meet Assad

International mediator Kofi Annan is due to fly to Damascus on Monday and will hold talks with President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday, Syria's Ikhbariya television station said.      

It gave no further details, and UN officials in Damascus were not immediately able to confirm the trip. The report came a day after the United Nations Security Council condemned the killing of at least 108 people, including many children, in the Syrian town of Houla on Friday.
