Norwegian Embassy marks national day

Chief EU Negatiator Egemen Bağış (L) attended a reception to mark Norwegian National Day in Ankara.

Norwegian National Day was marked on Wednesday in a reception held by the Norwegian Embassy in Ankara at the Sheraton Hotel. The reception was attended by Turkish State Minister and Chief EU Negotiator Egemen Bağış and Deputy Energy Minister Hasan Murat Mercan. Turkish officials were welcomed by Norwegian Ambassador to Turkey Janis Bjorn Kanavin.

Several Norwegian dishes using Norwegian imported salmon were sampled during the event. Bilateral relations between Turkey and Norway began in 1925 and the two countries have developed close cooperation through international agreements, including NATO.
