The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) announced on Friday a number of penalties for Trabzonspor -- including four spectator-less matches, a TL 30,000 fine for the club and a 15-day deprivation of rights and TL 15,000 fine for Chairman Sadri Şener -- for its unsportsmanlike conduct during its match against Fenerbahçe.
The PFDK, in a written statement released on Friday, said the penalties are related to Trabzonspor’s most recent match against Fenerbahçe, in the fifth week of the Spor Toto Super Final playoffs. Due to Trabzonspor fans’ “ugly” and mean-spirited cheering, the PFDK fined the club TL 30,000. Because of similar conduct from the team on the field, the PFDK penalized the club with four spectator-less matches. The PFDK then hit Şener with a TL 15,000 fine and a deprivation of his rights as club chairman for 15 days.
