A 17-year-old girl stabbed a mother and daughter to death after getting into an argument with them in İstanbul’s Gaziosmanpaşa district on Thursday.

Tuğçe Berfin C. and her mother Tuğba C. (33) had gone to visit their Azerbaijani neighbors, Reyhan Necefova (44) and Günay Hüseyinzade (22). A fight broke out between the four women during which Tuğçe Berfin C. repeatedly stabbed both of her neighbors. The mother and daughter were immediately taken to a hospital by other neighbors who overheard the altercation; however, they died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Tuğçe Berfin C. surrendered to police immediately after the incident. She was later taken to court by the İstanbul Police Department’s Children Unit.
