The luxury Bosporus cruise services offered by Turkish company YKÜ offer a unique opportunity for those who want to enjoy İstanbul's picturesque view while being treated to an exclusive range of on-board services.

The company started offering luxury cruise services in 2004 with just one vessel, adding a second luxury ship to its fleet in 2008 as interest increased. With a total capacity of 150 passengers, the two boats can be rented for various events, including weddings, parties and tours. The company has so far hosted leading local and foreign artists, politicians and senior bureaucrats on its Bosporus cruises.

YKÜ General Manager Murat Eskici says they started offering services for individuals and groups in April. “It does not matter whether the guest is one person or if we host a group of 100. We are committed to providing the same high standard of service to everybody,” he explains. Eskici noted that customers are mostly foreign visitors, but the company plans to attract as many local tourists as it can with a series of new promotional campaigns. “The services provided on our luxury Bosporus cruises include VIP transport to and from the boats, DJs and live music performances and world-class cuisine,” he adds.

In terms of cost, he says the prices are more or less the same as the amount people pay for a dinner alongside the Bosporus. While there are a number of tour services on the Bosporus, Eskici says YKÜ offer the first and only luxury tour, adding that the company expects to contribute to Turkish tourism. “Experiencing the beauty of the historical city of İstanbul in comfort and luxury should be an exclusive experience. … We work hard to ensure all our guests leave İstanbul with unforgettable memories.”

The two boats can be rented for lunch cruises (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner cruises between 8:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Prices vary between 75 euros and 195 euros, while bookings are available at
