The footage shows a blindfolded man with only his head not buried, screaming in Arabic, reportedly asking for help.
The subtitles of the footage shows a commander of the unit saying “Yes sir, we placed him in there as you have ordered.” Then he asks “What's he got? Did you find anything with this damn animal?”
The man who would be buried is from Al-Qussair near Homs and he is then accused by the soldiers of carrying a camera to capture video clips of soldiers’ atrocities to send to the international media.
He calls the man an “animal” for several times and then orders to bury the “dog.”
Armed militia point their rifles at the man’s face but faces of the armed guards are not visible. In a minute-long footage, then others pick up shovels and bury his head. When his face is surrounded by dirt and rocks, he says “I bear witness there is no god but God. I bear witness Prophet Muhammad is God’s messenger.” Then the commanding officer tells him to say “there is no god but Bashar.”
The clip ends as the man’s head is completely buried with dirt and rocks and he becomes silent.
