Turkish sports world mourns death of coach Arıca

Former footballer Arıca wore the jerseys of Turkish football powerhouses Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. He coached numerous prominent Anatolian teams including Gaziantepspor, Bursaspor, Gençlerbirliği and Samsunspor. Arıca last worked for second division side Karşıyaka during the 2010-2011 season.

Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş were among the clubs to extend their condolences to the Turkish football world and Arıca's family.

Arıca is the nephew of famous Turkish actor Kadir İnanır. İnanır, recently diagnosed with cancer, was reportedly devastated by the news of his nephew's death.
