16-year-old stabs father to death in Konya
26 January 2012 / TODAY'S ZAMAN, İSTANBUL
A 16-year-old allegedly stabbed her father to death in Konya's Ereğli district, the Anatolia news agency reported on Thursday.
B.I. reportedly stabbed her father, Ali Işık, with a knife after an argument broke out between them.
Işık was severely wounded and died at the scene of the incident.
Upon notification by relatives, police arrived at the scene and found Işık's lifeless body. B.I. fled the scene but was later apprehended and taken into custody. In her first statement to police, B.I. said her father had sexually abused her.
Police are investigating the incident.
