28 November 2011 / TODAY'S ZAMAN WITH WIRES, İSTANBUL
Turkish and Georgian citizens will be able to travel between the two countries without a passport as of Dec. 10, Georgia's deputy foreign minister said on Monday, according to an Anatolia news agency report.

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze, in a weekly press conference held in Tbilisi, said a protocol signed by Turkey and Georgia would go into effect on Dec. 10 and that citizens from the two countries will no longer need their passports for travel between Turkey and Georgia.

Turkish citizens will be able to enter Georgia by showing their national identity cards and vice versa, added Kalandadze.
