Two pilots dead as military jet crashes in central Turkey

Two pilots were killed when a military jet crashed in the central Anatolian province of Konya on Thursday, initial reports have said.

The jet, which took off from the Konya 3rd Main Jet Base Group Command, reportedly crashed near the village of Karakaya, not far from Karatay, for as yet unknown reasons. Search-and-rescue teams were dispatched to the crash site and initial reports said two pilots had died in the crash.
