‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’

Kate Reddy (Sarah Jessica Parker) devotes her days to her job with a Boston-based financial management firm. At night she goes home to her adoring architect husband Richard (Greg Kinnear) and their two young children. It’s a non-stop balancing act, the same one that Kate’s acerbic best friend and fellow working mother Allison (Christina Hendricks) performs on a daily basis, and that Kate’s super-brainy, child-phobic young junior associate Momo (Olivia Munn) fully intends to avoid. When Kate gets handed a major new account that will require frequent trips to New York, Richard also wins the new job he’s been hoping for -- and both will be spreading themselves even thinner. Directed by: Douglas McGrath

Genre: comedy

Cast: Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, Greg Kinnear, Kelsey Grammer

‘Fright Night’

Senior Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: He’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right -- but no one, not even Charley’s mom (Toni Collette), notices. After observing some very strange activity, Charley comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charley has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself.

Directed by: Craig Gillespie

Genre: horror

Cast: Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, Toni Collette
