Ukraine: Turkish national convicted for spying

Ukrainian prosecutors say a Turkish national has been convicted of bribing a navy official to get information on navy patrols in the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea.
The Prosecutor General's Office Tuesday the 41-year-old man, who was not identified, paid the navy official about $7,000 (4,800 euro) last year to learn when and where navy ships go on patrol missions. He was convicted to three years and three months in prison.
The navy official notified Ukrainian security services and was instructed to feed him erroneous information while the authorities worked on detaining him.
