Featuring the ninth part of the larger popular “Destination: Design Series,” which focuses on the showcasing of the works of emerging designers and design themes from across the world, the collection will include home accessories, furniture, kitchenware, jewelry and more by 41 emerging designers from İstanbul. The works focus on exemplifying İstanbul’s unique quality as a meeting point between East and West, old and new, using geometric textures, rhythmic lines and vibrant colors reflecting the city’s rich Ottoman and Byzantine histories as the main source of inspiration.
Items available for exclusive purchase include olive wood serving utensils harvested from the Aegean shores of Anatolia, porcelain espresso cups with wavy silhouettes mimicking those of whirling dervishes and a traditional tea tray fashioned from contemporary materials.
The 41 designers featured in the product collection include: 2mikrop, Ali Bakova, Alev Ebuzziya Siesbye, Arda Tunçman, Aida Pekin, Aysun Altındağ and Meltem Maralcan, Bahadır Baruter, Berra Alkan, Burcu Akbulut Onur, Demir Obuz, Elif Özsezen, Ela Cindoruk, Erdem Akan, Fabio Ricci, Kamer Foundation, Koray Özgen, Leyla Taranto, Kunter Şekercioğlu, Maybe Design, Mehtap Obuz, Münire Kırmacı, Nil Deniz, Ömer Ünal, Oya Akman, Özlem Ölçer, Özlem Tuna, Sabrina Fresko, Sadi Tekin, Selin Okçu Büyüksoy, Sema Obuz, Sezgin Sander, Soner Özenç, Sultan Rağbet, Tan Mavitan and Urart.
