60 detained in major customs bribery operation
An operation staged in January netted 34 individuals serving at the İstanbul Customs Regional Directorate as part of a major investigation into allegations of bribery and corruption at the customs department.

Sixty people were detained on Monday in a major operation into a bribery scheme within the customs department, the Cihan news agency has reported.
The operation, carried out in five provinces, was coordinated by the İstanbul Police Department's anti-financial crimes unit. A number of customs officials have reportedly been detained.
