İstanbul to host international gastronomy festival
The ninth edition of the International İstanbul Gastronomy Festival will be held at the TÜYAP Convention Center in the city’s Beylikdüzü district on Feb. 17-20.
The All Chefs Federation (TAF) noted in the statement that the festival will gather Turkish cuisine and international cuisine, also paving the way for chefs to exchange their experience on a common platform.
The festival will host two seminars of the World Association of Chef Societies (WACS). Chefs who succeed in the seminars will be granted a WACS jury certificate. Chefs from more than 30 countries are expected to attend the festival.A competition will also be featured as part of the festivities. Applications have started to come in for the competition section, with a deadline of Feb. 10.
WACS is a global network of chefs associations first founded in October 1928 in Paris. WACS has 93 official chefs associations as members that represent over 10 million professional chefs worldwide.
