Fatih Akın nominated for best director prize

Turkish-German filmmaker Fatih Akın has been nominated for the best director title in Germany’s 52nd Nordic Film Days Lübeck for his most recent film, “Soul Kitchen.”
Winners will be announced in an award ceremony at the Lübeck Theater on Nov. 6. The winner will receive a cash prize worth 75,000 euros. Akın’s gastronomic comedy received the prize in the best screenplay category at the same event last year.
