Claudia Cardinale invited to 47th Altın Portakal fest

Legendary Italian actress Claudia Cardinale is expected to visit the southern Turkish city of Antalya next month for this year’s Altın Portakal (Golden Orange) International Film Festival.
The 72-year-old Cardinale, who appeared in some of the most acclaimed Italian and European films of the 1960s, including Luchino Visconti’s “The Leopard” (1963), Federico Fellini’s “8 1/2” (1963) and Sergio Leone’s “Once Upon a Time in the West” (1968), was invited as guest of honor to the 47th Altın Portakal festival, where her most recent film appearance, “Signora Enrica,” directed by Turkish filmmaker Ali İlhan, is running in the national feature film competition.
