Princes Islands’ Museum opens to public this week

İstanbul’s Adalar (Princes’ Islands) Museum, one of the major projects of the İstanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture program, is counting down to its inauguration this week.
The museum, located on Büyükada in a 140-year-old building which was initially used as a summer home by the patriarch of Alexandria in the late 19th century and later converted into a school to serve as the Büyükada Elementary School until 1967, will open on Friday.
