Debut feature by Turkish director headed for Chicago

“Kar Beyaz” (White as Snow), the debut feature film by Turkish photographer Selim Güneş, has been selected for this year’s Chicago International Film Festival’s world cinema program.
The arthouse film follows the struggles of a 12-year-old village boy whose father goes to jail and who has to work to look after his poverty-stricken family. The 46th Chicago International Film Festival will run Oct. 7-21.
