Turkey's Vakıfbank gets $720 million syndicated loan

Turkey's Vakıfbank has obtained 720 million U.S. dollar syndicated loan.

Delivering a speech in the ceremony on loan agreement in Istanbul, Vakıfbank's Director General Suleyman Kalkan said that the syndicated loan confirmed sound position of the bank as well as Turkey's esteem in the international platform.

Kalkan said that the bank would keep presenting foreign sources to the real sector of Turkey, stating that the loan would be used to finance exports.

Vakıfbank secured syndicated loan from 31 banks in 14 countries under coordination of West LB AG.

Vakıfbank is one of the leading "multi-specialist" banks in Turkey. The modern banking products and services that it offers cover not only corporate, commercial and small-scale enterprise banking, but also the retail and private banking sectors.

VakıfBank has two international offices located in New York and Bahrain and it also has participation in Austria named Vakıfbank International AG which has branches in Vienna, Cologne and Frankfurt.
