CRR to open season with National Youth Symphony

Turkey’s National Youth Symphony Orchestra (UGSO) will open the upcoming season of performances at the Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall in İstanbul’s Harbiye neighborhood next week.
 Italian violin virtuoso Salvatore Accardo will make a guest appearance as soloist during the concert, scheduled for Sept. 6 at 9 p.m. The UGSO, an ensemble of young musicians aged between 16 and 22 studying in 14 conservatories around Turkey, was founded in 2007 by maestro Cem Mansur, who will also conduct the orchestra during the Sept. 6 concert.
