Pina Bausch, the legendary German choreographer who died last June, will be commemorated with an exhibition of photographs this month at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Art Gallery in İstanbul’s Ortaköy quarter.
The show, set to go on display Friday, is a collection of snapshots of Bausch taken by Ursula Kaufmann, who followed and photographed the pioneer of dance theater for many years throughout her career. Planned before Bausch’s untimely death, the exhibition will remain on public display through Oct. 5 at the gallery, located on the palace’s entrance floor. Admission is free of charge.
