CSO to open new concert season at Cer Modern

The Ankara-based Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO), Turkey’s oldest classical music institution, will open the 2010-2011 concert season on the night of Sept. 17 with a concert at the Cer Modern, the Turkish capital’s new modern art museum.
Under the baton of maestro Rengim Gökmen, who also heads the Turkish State Opera and Ballet, the CSO will present Carl Orff’s famous cantata “Carmina Burana” in the opening concert, scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m.
