TV series shot in İstanbul popular with Pakistanis

A Pakistani TV series shot in Istanbul has now become one of the most popular TV shows watched by Pakistanis.
Speaking to the Anatolia news agency, Asif Riza Mir, producer for the Pakistani TV series “Yariyan” and “Hal-i Dil,” said Pakistani TV producers had decided to shoot their series in İstanbul because its unique beauty has made it a well-known city to Pakistanis. “I am pleased that I have given more than 50 million Pakistanis yet another reason to love Istanbul,” Mir stated.
Thanking Turkey’s national carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) for becoming a new sponsor, Mir added that they were planning to shoot additional episodes in the Black Sea region for the upcoming season. THY’s Director for Pakistan Utku Yazan said his company is proud to support sports, the arts and the Pakistani tourism industry and would continue to do so. The TV series “Yariyan” is broadcast every Sunday on Pakistani TV Channel ARY, while “Hal-i Dil” is on every Monday on the GEO TV channel.
