Leading PKK terrorist: Perinçek, Küçük had links to PKK

20 July 2010 / İSMAIL AVCI, DIYARBAKIR
Mustafa Karasu, the number three man in the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), has said the jailed leader of the Workers’ Party (İP), Doğu Perinçek, and journalist and author Yalçın Küçük had close links to the PKK.

Karasu is also believed to be a top official in the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) -- known as the urban arm, civilian branch or secret civilian establishment of the PKK.

In a statement posted on a website known for its proximity to the terrorist organization, Karasu said: “Küçük had links with the PKK. He adopted a positive approach to the Kurdish question after the 1990s. He defended the unity of both nations [Kurds and Turks] on the basis of the freedoms of Kurds. Without doubt, this intellectual Turk saw a positive attitude [from the PKK].”

Karasu also remarked on Perinçek’s links to the PKK, saying that he attempted to strengthen his party with the support of the PKK in 1990 and 1991. “But when the PKK was not deceived by his machinations, he adopted an anti-PKK stance after 1993. When you compare his articles on the Kurdish question before 1991 and afterwards, you will see that his approach to the issue went through a 180-degree change,” he stated.

An undated photo in the left shows Doğu Perinçek and Abdullah Öcalan were hand in hand. Next photo shows that Yalçın Küçük and terrorist leader Öcalan were together.

Perinçek is currently in jail suspected of membership in a terrorist organization known as Ergenekon, which is accused of working to overthrow the government. Küçük is also a defendant in the case.

The KCK terrorist also lashed out at the Bugün daily due to its report on a Turkish Air Forces officer who referred to terrorist PKK militants as “our own” and asked to shoot down Heron unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and another officer who said he would help with the situation. Karasu said the daily published a “manufactured report” at the direction of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

“The report alleges that a phone conversation between a lieutenant colonel and a first lieutenant resulted in the spoiling of a [military] plan to kill [PKK] members. The Taraf daily and other pro-AK Party newspapers are working to justify a psychological war [against the military]. Had such a conversation existed, those officers would immediately have been jailed,” he remarked.

The General Staff has been silent on the Bugün report since last week.
