Turkish Cypriot Prime Minister İrsen Küçük is scheduled to begin a two-day visit to Turkey on Thursday at the invitation of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to a written statement released by the KKTC Prime Ministry on Wednesday, Küçük is set to have talks with Erdoğan in Ankara. Starting his meetings after visiting Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Küçük is expected to discuss with the Turkish prime minister ongoing peace talks with Greek Cyprus to reunify the long-divided island and other recent developments. He will also have dinner with Erdoğan on the same day.

Küçük is then expected to meet with President Abdullah Gül in İstanbul. On the sidelines of his meeting with the Turkish president, Küçük will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Çiçek, who is also responsible for relations with the KKTC.
