The most recent work of art by Ferruh Başağa, one of the doyens of modern Turkish painting, is currently on view at the Troy Art Gallery in İstanbul as part of an exhibition titled “Yaşadıkça” (As Long As We Live) by the master painter.
The collection, featuring 12 canvasses in the 97-year-old master’s signature style dominated by geometrical forms, also includes the artist’s most recent painting, which he completed in May 2010. The exhibit will remain on display until next Tuesday in the gallery, located on Hüsrev Gerede Street, No: 104, in the Teşvikiye quarter. Tel.: (212) 327 9999
