6 die, 45 injured as Iranian bus overturns

An Iranian passenger bus overturned in Ahlat in the eastern province of Bitlis on Saturday morning, killing six people and injuring 45 others.
According to news reports, the bus driven by Seyit Ali Muhammedi entered Turkey from the Gürbulak border gate in the Doğubeyazıt district. Shortly after entering Turkey, Muhammedi lost control of the bus, which crashed into the median on a highway in Ahlat and overturned. Fatemeh Norouzi, Nadereh Rahfan Ford, Fatemeh Rahi Gombari, Asiye Mahiri, Mirzadeh Jafor Eskandani and Lotfollah Novrızadeh were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies will be sent to Iran following autopsies.
