The summit, which hosted over 2,300 foreign businesspeople from 135 countries and 2,200 from Turkey, is expected see trade agreements amounting to $7 billion. The 2nd Turkey-World Trade Bridge marks the 16th trade bridge TUSKON has organized since it was founded in 2005. On Wednesday, participants from the Asian-Pacific, European and Eurasian regions had preplanned business meetings with their Turkish counterparts as part of TUSKON’s trade event. Tradesmen from Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and North America visited the booths of 398 exhibitors from all industries. Visitors also attended country presentations put together by Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon and Ghana.Participants in the 2nd Turkey-World Trade Bridge began packing up on Thursday after the unparalleled trade event, during which numerous contracts were signed, came to a close on Wednesday.
The event saw an estimated 100,000 business meetings between foreign and Turkish tradesmen as well as several country presentations from various continents. As a result of the two-day summit, businesspeople who attended the program sealed trade agreements worth millions of dollars in various sectors, among them food, construction, weapons, furniture, textiles, mining, chemicals and others. The TUSKON guests were hosted in 62 Anatolian provinces from Friday to Sunday.
