Turkey’s leading airport operator, Tepe-Akfen-Vie Airports Holding (TAV), took home honors in five categories at Turkey’s Investor Relations Awards, the company announced in a statement released Friday.
TAV Airports Holding won “Best Investor Relations CEO,” “Best Investor Relations CFO” and “Best Investor Relations Official” at Turkey’s 2nd Investor Relations Awards, organized by Thomson Reuters and Acclaro. TAV Airports also won awards in the categories of investor relations website and investor relations department.
Commenting on the honors, TAV Airports Holding CEO M. Sani Şener said Turkey’s Investor Relations Awards indicate that İstanbul has become one of the world’s important financial centers. TAV operates 10 airports in Turkey, Georgia, Tunisia and Macedonia. TAV terminals hosted 42 million passengers in 2009. The number of passengers passing through airports operated by TAV increased 19 percent in the first quarter of 2010 when compared to the same period of 2009.
