Silent films from two sides of the Atlantic on big screen

A selection of short comedy films by two legendary filmmakers from two sides of the Atlantic, Buster Keaton and Georges Méliès, will be screened this weekend at İstanbul’s Akbank Art Center.
The admission-free program, titled “Silent Movies From Across Two Sides of the Ocean,” will start at 8 p.m. at the Akbank Art Café. Jazz pianist Kent Mete will provide the music for the screenings in an improvised performance.
