Akram Khan to kick off Dance Platform

British choreographer Akram Khan’s latest solo work, “Gnosis,” will be the first performance of Dance Platform İstanbul, a dance festival organized by the İstanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency.
Khan is one of the most renowned figures in contemporary dance. Staged with an orchestra that connects to the Indian tradition and Sufi music, “Gnosis” invites the audience to explore the internal and external struggle of human and divine character. Sylvie Guillem, a living legend of ballet, will also be performing in the festival with Khan in “Sacred Monsters.”
The shows will be staged on April 20, 21 and 23 at the Muhsin Ertuğrul Theater. Tickets are available at Biletix sales points.
