The İstanbul Park Hotel in Tuzla has received a hospitality award from the International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA).
The IH&RA is the world’s largest association representing the tourism and entertainment sectors, with about 300,000 hotels and 8 million restaurants as members. While noting that they received the award during the annual meeting of the association between Jan. 17 and 20 in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, the hotel’s director, Berkay Türkel, said: “This award means a lot to us. We see all our visitors not as customers but as guests. Our hospitality is again recognized with this award. We will keep on hosting our guests, making them feel at home.” Turkish Hoteliers’ Association (TUROB) President Timur Bayındır and officials from the İstanbul hotel attended the meeting. An Indian businessman, Krishnan Nair, chairman of Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, was given the “Hotelier of the Century” award.
