A Turkish painter opened his “İstanbul, Capital of Civilization” exhibition in Berlin on Sunday. Painter Melikşah Soytürk’s exhibition of charcoal paintings opened at the Turkish House (Türkevi) in Berlin with a ceremony attended by Berlin’s Interior Senator Ehrhart Koerting. The exhibition will run till April 13.
“İstanbul, Capital of Civilization” considers the reflections of İstanbul’s historical structure and architecture. The exhibition is one of several traveling projects celebrating İstanbul as the city was chosen as a European Capital of Culture for 2010.
