The universe is renewing itself again. Trees are turning green again. Green is the color of life. Trees will produce fruit soon after. Even though the yellow of autumn is symbolic of death, green is symbolic of life.
The universe says hello happily to a new life, rebirth. The sun rises differently through smiling and heating. Sounds of birds are different due to spring. Spring, the name of rebirth. Soil is becoming a mother of rebirth. Spring means life. Welcome life! Nevruz means a new life. Nevruz is a production of a culture and tradition. It is not death but life which is blessed with the coming of Nevruz. The fire of Nevruz symbolizes peace, friendship, freedom and life. Nevruz is a common festival belonging to all people. It does not matter if one says “Newroz piroz be” in Kurdish or “Nevruz kutlu olsun! (Happy Nevruz)” in Turkish! Although our languages are different, we have the same holidays. Our happiness and sadness are the same. Time to renew each other.
