Italian home appliances firm Indesit expects to invest 10 million euros in its factory in the Aegean province of Manisa this year.The company had earlier announced that it had decided to transform its manufacturing plant in Manisa into its largest refrigerator factory.
Speaking to reporters in Antalya on Thursday, Indesit CEO Marco Milani said they expect to increase the production capacity at the Manisa factory. The company manager said Indesit plans to increase its production to 1.3 million home appliances before the end of 2010. “We export 80 percent of our production to various countries every year. Indesit expects exports from the Manisa facility to reach 200 million euros this year.” Underlining that they continue to maintain strong confidence in the Turkish market, Milani said they increased their market share to 8 percent amid the global financial crisis last year. “We think Turkey is one of the few most profitable markets in Europe.
