Former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Marlin Jackson has agreed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL team said on Wednesday.
Jackson, a 29th overall pick in the first round by the Colts in 2005, played in the first four games for Indianapolis last season before being sidelined with a knee injury. In a statement on the Eagles’ Web site, Jackson said he is ahead of schedule in his rehab and will be “full go” when training camp arrives. The 26-year-old Jackson has played in 56 career games and registered 306 tackles and four interceptions. His interception of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at the end of the 2006 AFC Championship game sent the Colts to the Super Bowl.
