Nowadays, the perception is spreading that the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) is trying to address the upper class as well as the middle class in order to consolidate its power.
It was a milestone that the Sabah-ATV group was taken over by a businessman who is believed to be pro-AK Party. Many people criticized the stance of the ruling AK Party toward the upper class. In spite of all the whispering, it can be said that the ruling AK Party wants to move forward while addressing civil society. In conclusion, the relationship between the AK Party and the Turkish Industrialist and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) is full of ups and downs. The İstanbul elite has never fully welcomed the AK Party. And the AK Party has also not made any attempt to address the elite. However, they are always interacting. While the AK Party affects them, they are continuing to affect the AK Party.
