Global financial crisis negatively affects Turkey's exports to neighbors

The ongoing global financial crisis has negatively affected Turkey's exports to neighboring countries.

In 2009, Turkey's exports to neighbors declined 3.9 percent.

Turkey's exports to seven neighbors in 2009 were worth 13.7 billion USD.

Turkish exports to neighboring countries constituted 13.5 percent of all Turkish exports globally in 2009.

Iraq and Syria were the countries to which Turkish exports showed an increase.
