A group of delegates from the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) headed by Chairwoman Ümit Boyner is expected to have meetings with the prime minister and government officials in Ankara today.
Boyner was elected the chair of TÜSİAD at a general assembly on Jan. 21. TÜSİAD said in a press statement released on Wednesday that the association board members will also meet with President Abdullah Gül, Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Şahin and leaders of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) between Feb. 24 and 25.
The association said the new board expected to share TÜSİAD’s 2010 program and their suggestions concerning current developments with the government and opposition officials.
