Erdoğan attends funeral at İstanbul mosque

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the funeral of the sister of a former Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy held yesterday at Eyüp Sultan Mosque after Friday prayer.
The deceased, Aysen Karal, was the sister of former AK Party deputy Mustafa Baş. After the conclusion of the funeral prayer, Erdoğan took a turn at serving as one of the pallbearers.
Erdoğan was accompanied by İstanbul Governor Muammer Güler, İstanbul Metropolitan Municipal Mayor Kadir Topbaş, İstanbul Chief of Police Hüseyin Çapkın and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) İstanbul provincial branch head Aziz Babuşcu. The mosque congregation showed great interest in Erdoğan.
