Unidentified individuals in an automobile opened fire on BDP headquarters in Ankara at around 10 p.m. on Friday evening. Nobody was killed or injured in the attack.
The attackers are being interrogated at the Ankara Anti-Terrorism Unit.
Security camera records in the neighborhood of the BDP headquarters revealed that the license plate of the automobile, a Peugeot 307, was from Balıkesir.
The attackers fled the area after the incident. The Ankara police launched an investigation to apprehend the attackers.
Police found four suspicious Peugeot 307 automobiles with the Balıkesir license number prefix, 10. It was revealed that a military officer was behind the wheel of the automobile that was used to attack the BDP building.
The BDP was established as a back-up party for the now-defunct pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP). DTP deputies regrouped in Parliament under the banner of the BDP after the closure of the DTP.
