Two Turkish movies won awards in the 28th International Fajr Film Festival in Iran. Besides Turkey, a total of 280 movies from 60 countries attended the festival.

"Wrong Rosary" (Uzak İhtimal) directed by Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun and "Pain" (Aci) directed by Cemal San are the two Turkish movies which won awards in the festival.

"Wrong Rosary" competed in international cinema category and won the best technic, camera and art director award, while "Pain", competing in Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) countries category, won Firoozeh award.

"Pain" tells the story of a relationship between a young girl, who defends freedoms, and her grandfather who supports the family concept. "Wrong Rosary" tells about a muezzin (the person who leads the call to the mosque's Friday service) falling in love with his neighbor, who happens to be a Catholic nurse.
