Ernst Lubitsch’s ‘Oyster Princess’ at Goethe

The Goethe Institut in İstanbul’s Beyoğlu district will this week screen the 1919 film “Die Austernprinzessin” (The Oyster Princess) as part of its Ernst Lubitsch film program, which runs at the center until March, offering eight silent films by the 20th century filmmaker.
The grotesque comedy in four acts about an American millionaire’s spoiled daughter’s marriage that doesn’t go as planned will be shown on Friday at 7 p.m. with intertitles in both German and Turkish.
