Italy's Finmeccanica, a leading defense and security company, considers Turkey a strategic business partner.
Speaking to magazine "Defence Turkey", Pier Francesco Guarguaglini, chairman and CEO of Finmeccanica, said Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Foundation had a sound and advanced defense industry system.
Italian defense companies have been working with Turkish companies for a long time, Guarguaglini said.
Guarguaglini said Finmeccanica would search for new opportunities in Turkey which had excellent political and economic relations with Italy.
Finmeccanica was ready to contribute to programs of TSK and to establish partnership with Turkish defense industry, he said.
